Fairy Dust

I can't believe it's two weeks since I blogged! I have lots of exciting things going on in my world of crafting at the moment and have spent time making samples and new cards to sell.

Here is something a bit different. I love the papercut work, but would not have the patience so this is made using the next best thing - Spellbinders dies!

I hope to be around a bit more this week!!

A Happy Cat!

Over at Handmade Harbour this week the theme is HAPPY. I chose the digital cat stamp to work with for my DT card, as I thought he looked like a very contented cat!

I kept it quite simple, just adding glitter to the heart and mounting the piece on polka dot card with polka dot ribbon.

Pop over and see what else the DT has come up!

Spring Butterflies

Over the weekend I found a bit of time to have a play with some different techniques and materials. And this is what I came up with.

First I painted kraft card with Gesso. I then used the butterfly stamp with Staz On ink so that I could watercolour the images with Distress Pens.  The text stamp was randomly used over the card as well as applying Bundled Sage ink through a stencil.  Finally to make the butterflies really stand out I used Glossy Accents on them.

For the Boys

I hope you have had a lovely Easter - I can't believe school starts again tomorrow!

Over at The Crafting Cafe we have been making cards for the boys. We have been sponsored this month by Kenny K and Delicious Doodles. I chose a Delicious Doodles image to work with to create my card for the DT.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and Souffle Pens (remember those!) to create dimension. I stamped the bunting and the greeting with rubber stamps.

So why not join us and be in with a chance to win image from our sponsors.

Good Luck!

Happy Easter!

I hope you are all enjoying the Easter break, although here in the south of England it hasn't stopped raining! We had to resort to an egg hunt in the house.  I have been working hard and have some great projects to show you this week - but as it is Easter Sunday I thought I would share this sweet little card.

HAPPY EASTER!!

Home Sweet Home

I may well be uttering those words this week, as I am writing this before I leave for a break! However, by the time this is published I will be back!

The theme at Handmade Harbour Challenge this week is Home. For my DT card I created this one.

I used the cottage stamp and coloured it with Promarkers. I paper pieced the bunting and curtains and the door actually opens! I added grass to ground the image. It would make a lovely new home card. I do hope you can join us at the challenge this week!

Easter Chicken Card

As soon as one holiday is over another seems to appear from nowhere! With only a couple of weeks to go to Easter, the challenge at Handmade Harbour is to create a project/card with a Spring or Easter theme.

I used the Stripey Chicken stamp to create my card and the digital paper also available from Handmade Harbour. I used Promarkers to colour, adding a few dots and a black outline to frame the piece.
A sentiment from my stash of stamps and an embellishment completed the card.

I hope you will pop over and join us!

A Day for Mothers

I do hope those who celebrate it had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday. The weather here in the South of England was beautiful, so we had a lovely family meal by the sea. We also took our new pup who was so well behaved!

Anyway I finally got round to making a card for my own Mum which I can now share with you.

Being short of time I turned to my Tilda papercraft stash. It is so pretty I tend to look at rather than use it!! I used a base card and various decoupaged diecuts. The sentiment was made using individual letter stickers. I'm glad to say that Mum was very pleased with it!

I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Spring is here!

What beautiful weather we had at the weekend here in the South. The sunshine inspired me to create this card for the Handmade Harbour Challenge (on which I am a Design Team member). The theme for the fortnight is Spring -  flowers, birds or rabbits.

I used the paper piecing technique with the digital stamp Flowers on the Hill.

I have to say I am quite pleased with the result!

I do hope you will come along and join us at the challenge!
