Messing About with ATCs

Its been a long time since I made some ATCs. I don't why as I love the fact you can go wild and experiment with techniques in such a small space.

I was inspired to make these cards by Lynn Kopas' work and whilst no where as fabulous as hers, I really enjoyed making these.

First I stuck on a layer of hessian type material and then added found objects, beads, shells and other trinkets. I covered the whole piece with Gesso. For the first time I used a texture paste and a stencil to create the flourishes - I am now hooked!

Once dry I spritzed blue and green inks onto different areas and stamped the butterfly image.  To bring out the texture I dry - brushed gold acrylic paint onto shells and flourishes.

I think I may be making more of these!

I am entering them into the following challenges:

The Potting Shed

Must get this blogging done more regularly!! Its a busy month for birthday in my family so have spent a lot of time making cards for the men in my family.

This card is one I made just because I wanted too!

Those of you who read my blog will know I am a big fan of Little Claire Stamps. There them on their challenge blog is Add Some Bunting so I thought this would be perfect! I stamped and coloured the card with Promarkers, added a string of bunting and a sentiment from a set of free stamps I had.

It will soon be time here in the UK to prepare the garden once again for Spring!

I am also entering the following challenges:

New Year Plans

I hope its not too late to wish you all a very Happy New Year. I also hope you had a wonderful festive season and a peaceful one too.

I have decided this year to take part in the Business Bakery's 100 Day Goal. My goal for this is to rejuvenate my blog and hopefully provide more interest and more interaction with you all.

It is a brilliant FREE! workshop with printable sheets and a very supportive Facebook Group. So if you have something you want to achieve in 2016 why not join in?!
