For the Boys

I hope you have had a lovely Easter - I can't believe school starts again tomorrow!

Over at The Crafting Cafe we have been making cards for the boys. We have been sponsored this month by Kenny K and Delicious Doodles. I chose a Delicious Doodles image to work with to create my card for the DT.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and Souffle Pens (remember those!) to create dimension. I stamped the bunting and the greeting with rubber stamps.

So why not join us and be in with a chance to win image from our sponsors.

Good Luck!

Let It Snow

Here's hoping we will see some snow in the South of England this year! With Christmas fast approaching and more presents to wrap than Santa I decided to keep things CAS.

I made this card using a stamp set which came with one of the stamping magazines. I used two different colours of Distress ink - Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean.

And that is it!

Challenges I am entering :
Addicted to CAS - Snowflakes
Fab n Funky - Snowflakes

A New Arrival

Well half term is almost over so looking forward to more time for crafting! This week also saw a new arrival to our family when my cousin gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday (yes, Halloween!). So I have been asked to make a few new baby boy cards this week!

I though I would share this one with you. I purchased this great frame stamp from Zoe  who creates some fabulous work and often sells some great bargains! It was second hand but in great condition. The pram was a stamp from Hobbycraft which I stamped and coloured with Promarkers. Finally the greeting was stamped with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

One of my favourite companies Little Claire has a challenge which is themed New Arrivals so I am entering this card into the challenge.

Embossed Bunting

The task for the DT at WOW! Embossing Powders this month is to create a British Themed project using a mixture of Red and Blue Powders available from WOW. I created this card by cutting out the bunting shapes and embossing them with the powders. The stamp is from the stamp set Love Beyond Measure. For more details and to join in the challenge, visit the WOW! Embossing Powders Blog.

They're Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace

Well what a weekend! I hope you all enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations despite the weather.
I'm still in red, white and blue crafting mode and although I don't usually go for the cute style of cards, I couldn't resist this Forever Friends stamp from DoCrafts. I used a gatefold card and paper from the Best of British collection. The image I stamped, coloured with Promarkers and cut out to layer onto the card. With the sentiment You are The Best, this card would be perfect for Father's Day too.

Sunday Stamper - Red, White and Blue
Artistic Stampers - Red, White and Blue
Mishelflo's Challenge - Red, White and Blue

Join the street party on Pilkington Parade!

Gosh, it seems to have been a long time since I updated my blog, its been so hot here I've been spending time lazying in the garden instead!

So here is a new project...
I have had this Pilkington Parade stamp set from Stamps Away for a while and had never got round to using it. That is until I was looking at old pictures of street parties and thought the stamps would be perfect to create something similar. I stamped the houses and coloured them with Promarkers. I stamped the bunting separately, cut it out and stuck it to the card with 3D foam, then finally printed the sentiment and mounted it onto blue card. I hope you all enjoy the Jubilee celebrations!

Challenges I am entering are :
Craft Your Days Away - Red, white and blue
Glitter Geeks - Jubilee
One Stitch at at Time - Red, white and Blue
Joanna Sheen - Remember When
