Bring out the bunting

I love adding bunting to my cards and this one is no exception!

I created this card with the Little Claire Silhouette House stamp. I have never tried embossing onto patterned paper before so it's a first for me! I created the bunting using papers and twine. When I finished it I thought it was perfect for a New Home Card!

I am entering this into

The Potting Shed

Must get this blogging done more regularly!! Its a busy month for birthday in my family so have spent a lot of time making cards for the men in my family.

This card is one I made just because I wanted too!

Those of you who read my blog will know I am a big fan of Little Claire Stamps. There them on their challenge blog is Add Some Bunting so I thought this would be perfect! I stamped and coloured the card with Promarkers, added a string of bunting and a sentiment from a set of free stamps I had.

It will soon be time here in the UK to prepare the garden once again for Spring!

Parties, Picnics and Cake!

No that's not what I have been enjoying, but the theme at Handmade Harbour Challenge this week.

I chose to use the Cupcake and Bunting stamp to create my card. And this is what I came up with

I printed out the image twice so I could decoupage the cakes. I then diecut one of the images with a Spellbinders Scallop Circle die. Then with pens, glitter and glue I went to town on the decoration! The sentiment is made using Thickers which I coloured in with Promarkers.

Do come and join us at Handmade Harbour!

Handmade Harbour - I'm on the DT!

I have been a fan for some time of the fabulous digital stamps from Wendy at Handmade Harbour. So I was over the moon to be accepted on her Design Team.

My first challenge with the team is to add ribbons.

I chose the Campervan Stamp and coloured in with Promarkers. I added I Love You to the number plates and then added ribbon to the bunting.

I can't wait to take part in more challenges with Handmade Harbour and I hope you will join me there!

Getting Ready for some Spooky Fun!

With Halloween just around the corner, my son and I have been doing some spooky crafting. Tonight we have painted a china pumpkin, a bat and made some pipe cleaner spiders!

And back in the craft room, I have been making a Halloween Card.

I had great fun creating the background - first using Distress Ink in Stormy Sky, Black Soot and Dusty Concord on Centura Pearl Card (the uncoated side). I used a mask to create the tree silhouettes in the background. I then stamped and embossed the two trees and the gate is just the top of a Paper Artsy full size stamp. The bat I stamped in Distress Ink too. Finally I made a banner which reads Happy Halloween!

I am going to enter the following challenges with this card:

Beside The Seaside

Its probably not the best place to be today on the South Coast as its raining! Is that summer gone? Anyway staying on a seaside theme I have created this card to enter this week's Docrafts Challenge.

I used a Michael Powell Beach Hut stamp for the main image, coloured in with Promarkers and decoupaged. The papers are from the new Docrafts Seaside Collection which I used to make the bunting as well. I finished off with a greeting "Wish You Were Here". I have to say I love it!

Other challenges I am entering :
Crafting Musketeers - Use a stamped image

The Easter Tree

Well the Easter holidays are nearly upon us, but nearly as warm as last year. It is freezing here in the South today - although no snow!

I love Little Claire Stamps and made this Easter card using their tree stamp and Easter set.  I stamped and coloured the images with Promarkers and mounted the picture onto yellow card. I added the bunting and twine to spell out Happy Easter. I think it is such a pretty card.

I am also taking part in the 30 Days of Lists Challenge and hope to share some of my journal pages with you soon!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Polka Doodles - Easter
Simon Says Stamp - Easter

A Birthday in a Teacup

Well what a weekend we had at the Sparkly Fairy quarters! My Dad fell and broke is leg in the snow and still remains in hospital! Life is interesting! It's actually his birthday today so we are hoping to have him home today, but it will be a long 12 weeks in plaster!!

Anyway.....I thought I would share this little card with you, although having little time for making much at the moment. I made this card using Docrafts Papermania stamps to stamp and decoupage the teacups. I stamped the bunting and the greeting and coloured all with AquaMarkers to get a watercolour look.

Embossed Bunting

The task for the DT at WOW! Embossing Powders this month is to create a British Themed project using a mixture of Red and Blue Powders available from WOW. I created this card by cutting out the bunting shapes and embossing them with the powders. The stamp is from the stamp set Love Beyond Measure. For more details and to join in the challenge, visit the WOW! Embossing Powders Blog.

Join the street party on Pilkington Parade!

Gosh, it seems to have been a long time since I updated my blog, its been so hot here I've been spending time lazying in the garden instead!

So here is a new project...
I have had this Pilkington Parade stamp set from Stamps Away for a while and had never got round to using it. That is until I was looking at old pictures of street parties and thought the stamps would be perfect to create something similar. I stamped the houses and coloured them with Promarkers. I stamped the bunting separately, cut it out and stuck it to the card with 3D foam, then finally printed the sentiment and mounted it onto blue card. I hope you all enjoy the Jubilee celebrations!

Challenges I am entering are :
Craft Your Days Away - Red, white and blue
Glitter Geeks - Jubilee
One Stitch at at Time - Red, white and Blue
Joanna Sheen - Remember When

S - soon to be Halloween

Well its not been a good week - hence so quiet on the blog front. I have M.E and overdid it at the weekend so have paid for it this week! Never mind - things seem to be returning to normal today. The arrival of my most amazing DT package from WOW Embossing powders also cheered me up!
The theme for the Alphabet Challenge this week is S - Soon to be Halloween, so this is my DT piece. I didn't have any Halloween stamps (although I have just ordered some!) so I used background paper from Chocolate Baroque (was Elusive Images), bunting image from Tangie Baxter Designs at Scrapbook Graphics and a PaperArtsy gate stamp. I think it looks quite spooky- don't you?

Also hello to my new followers - Buffy and PJamarama. Welcome!

Other challenges I am entering:
Fussy Friday Challenges - Fall or Halloween
Sarah Hurley Challenge - Halloween Horrors
Tando Creative Challenges - Spooktastic Designs
