Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Its been a busy week with school nativity plays. Today it is pouring here, so a perfect day for crafting and wrapping presents!
After being so busy making cards for sale, I have finally managed to make my own cards for family! This is a card I made for my parents using La Pashe stamps. I was lucky to get the set half price!
I stamped the background onto a piece of card and coloured it with Promarkers. Then I stamped the couple and holly separately, coloured them and then used foam pads to raise them on the card. I used My Craft Studio Frost Glitter to finish.
I'm really pleased with how this turned out and fortunately so were my parents!

Traditional Christmas Colours
The days seem to be flying by ever nearer to the big day. Its a busy time of year with nativity plays and carol concerts and the looming pile of presents to wrap!
I also had my 5 minutes of fame in January's Cross Stitch Crazy magazine this week! I was asked to be a member of January's reader panel which was fun.
Today I thought I would share a Christmas card with you, using more traditional colours. I made this card using a stamp from one of my favourite companies, Little Claire. I was really lucky to be the winner of their November challenge with my baby card. For this card, I stamped and coloured the image with Promarkers and then added the holly, ribbon and twine embellishment.

Festive Sparkle
Its certainly a lot chillier in the south today - but at least its dry! I hope the rain has subsided for you too!
This month's challenge at Crafty Individuals is Festive Sparkle so I created this card with this in mind. I used the deer stamp on acetate and embossed it with White Twinkle WOW Embossing Powder. I created the background card using Cosmic Shimmer Sprays and then stamped snowflakes and embossed them with WOW White Puff Twinkle. The card was then finished off with ribbon and a wooden snowflake.
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy ThanksGiving and a Simple Card
Firstly I would like to say a Happy Thanksgiving to all my followers in the US who will be celebrating today. I do hope you have a great time with your family.
Here in the UK we are slowly gearing up for the festive season and I'm snowed under with card orders! I treated myself to an early Christmas present this week - a mini Cricut - so I can't wait for it to arrive!
I couldn't sleep last night so used a set of Personal Impressions stamps which I bought in the sale last Christmas to make this simple card. I am really pleased with the result.

A New Arrival
Well half term is almost over so looking forward to more time for crafting! This week also saw a new arrival to our family when my cousin gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday (yes, Halloween!). So I have been asked to make a few new baby boy cards this week!
I though I would share this one with you. I purchased this great frame stamp from Zoe who creates some fabulous work and often sells some great bargains! It was second hand but in great condition. The pram was a stamp from Hobbycraft which I stamped and coloured with Promarkers. Finally the greeting was stamped with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
One of my favourite companies Little Claire has a challenge which is themed New Arrivals so I am entering this card into the challenge.

The colours of Autumn
Now the nights are drawing in and the chill is in the air its a perfect time for crafting. I also think its a great time of a year to get out in the country and see the changing colour of the trees. These are some pictures that I took near my home recently.
The card I have made is inspired by the Autumn trees. I created a brayered background using Big N Juicy ink and then used the same pad and the Crafty Individuals Trees stamp to create a row of trees in autumnal colours. Once finished I cut the image into three and layered each piece onto brown cardstock. The final touch was the greeting (stamped in the same way) and the raffia and a button.

Christmas Stitching
I enjoy lots of different crafts, one of them being Cross Stitching. When my computer went down last week I decided it was time to finish some of my UFOs (unfinished Objects!). This kit is by Dimensions and I have just started stitching the next in the series.
I hope you like it as its a bit different from papercraft!

Spooky!
Its getting towards that time of the year when the ghosts and ghouls come out to play! I love Halloween and have fun with my son decorating the house and having a spooky tea party.
Here is a Halloween card I have just made using one of my new Imagination Crafts stencils. I sponged Distress Ink through the stencil to create the background and the moon. I used a PaperArtsy stamp for the gate and various spooky stamps from a set I have. Once finished I went round the edge of the card with Black Soot distress ink to darken the card. I printed and mounted my own greeting on the front.

Autumn is here
I have been a bit behind with my blogging lately. My mum has been poorly this week and so I have had to take care of things at home, so I haven't had much time for crafting.
Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year - the colours, cinnamon, gingerbread and I have to say I am a fan of the cold weather!
I did get a moment last night to make this card which I was really pleased with. I cut the squares using Nestabilities Scalloped Square die from different coloured card. I then altered the colour of the wooden embellishments with Distress Ink and stuck them to the squares on a base card.

Nothing says Christmas more to me than the gorgeous Gingerbread man! I recently purchased the fantastic Picknix Gingerbread Twist CD from Studio 12/ Polkadoodles. I love the style of these images. Good Week / Bad Week!
Last week seemed to be full of ups and downs both in my crafting world and personal world, so apologies for the lack of posting. One of the bad things is I have had to resign as a DT member from WOW! Embossing Powders because I am so busy with other projects. I wish to say thank you to them for such a great opportunity and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.
The Bad - It was disappointing not to get into the Creative Expressions DT Team, but well done to all those who did. Maybe next time!!
The Good? - Well I was lucky enough to be asked by Stamp Addicts to create some samples using their new Owl stamps for the show on Thursday on Create and Craft! I am so excited to hopefully seem them on TV. The show is on this Thursday at 4pm and 6pm (GMT).
Here is one of the cards I made - visit the blog for more!
I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:
Gingerloft - Birds of a Feather
Drunken Stampers - The Birds

Creative Expressions DT Call
Despite being away for two weeks and still amid the school holidays I was determined to get my entry into the Creative Expressions DT Call. I love their products and have been lucky enough to win their monthly competition a couple of times and it would be amazing to be part of their team.
The brief for the DT entry was Texture. So for my card I used a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder to create the brick background on black paper and highlighted it with silver ink before stamping the window from the Creative Expressions Lost Garden Stamp set and embossing in silver powder. I cut out the window to reveal the stamped scene behind, which I had highlighted with Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Powders. For added texture I used Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Black Embossing Powder with added Mica Fragments around the window.
And now its back to crafting for Christmas!!

Christmas in July
Ohno I hear you all say! Not Christmas already! I love Christmas and could happily make Christmas cards all year - or though I never do and end up rushing at the last minute. So this year I have made a start!
I used the new decoupage kit from Papermania to make the topper and then wrapped snowfall acetate around it to create a bubble. The paper is from a selection from my stash as well as the greeting. I know its not my normal stamping style, but thought I would have a change!
Happy Christmas! :)

Creatilacious - Christmas in July
Crafters Cafe - Christmas in July with non traditional colours

A Summer Twinchie
Another miserable and wet day here in the South of England. Fingers crossed it improves for the summer holidays next week.
I decided to join in with the new Twinchie Challenge this week - the theme is Summer.
To make this I used WOW Powders and the Make a Wish stamp set. I embossed the images with clear powder and then rubbed Distress Ink over the top. I finished the piece by embossing the edges with gold powder.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Dreaming of Summer
Well here on the South Coast and the rest of the UK we can only dream of summer - although at least it stayed dry for my son's sports morning today.
Here on my blog today are 3 ATCs I have made for the Stampman ATC Swap. I haven't done ATCs for a while, but it would be good to do some swapping again.
The theme is summer, so to make these I used the fabulous free stamps from the artist Emma Ball which came from Simply Homemade magazine. The three beach hut ATC was made using a stamp from Docrafts by Michael Powell. All have been coloured with Aquamarkers to give them a soft look. Two of the ATCs have been decoupaged and the deckchairs stamped onto coloured paper to give some depth.
I look forward to seeing the ATCs I will receive in return!
Other challenges I am entering with these:

Something Completely Different!
For the last couple of weeks I have been at my local college one afternoon a week to study machine embroidery. I struggle with M.E and had to sleep a lot to be there, but have really enjoyed it. This is my first piece of applique stitched on the machine. I hope you like it! I just have to get my own machine up and running now!

Nature with wings
It is very hot and humid here on the South Coast today, but its never to hot for crafting!
Today I am sharing another card which I made purely for enjoyment. I bought the background stamp from HobbyCraft yesterday and its by DoCrafts Papermania. The sentiment is from a Creative Expressions stamp set and the flourished from a free set I had from a magazine some time ago.
To make the card I stamped the butterfly background using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, then I overstamped with the flourish stamp and sentiment in Black Soot. I stamped the background again and cut out a butterfly from it, used Distress Inks and a waterbrush and then used Sepia Accents to give it a glossy look.

Night Time Fairy
Its been some time since I've had time to make something just for pleasure. I have just finished making my DT samples for WOW! Embossing Powder for the CHA show and also busy helping organising my son's summer fete. Fingers crossed on Saturday that it will be dry!
As my name suggests I love anything mystical and magical so I made this card. I used Bella's Garden stamps from Debbi Moore for the main image. I then embossed it using WOW! Bright White powder and painted the image with mica paints. The glitter around the outside was built up using silver stars, gems, Stampendous Shaved Ice flakes and Silver Halo Glitter.

A Blessing and a Curse!
I am writing this sitting in our local library having had no internet for 4 DAYS! at home. The engineer finally arrived this morning so fingers crossed that normal service will soon be resumed!.
So a very quick post....This is my entry to Fashionable Stamping Challenges this week where the theme is Magical and Mystical. I used a combination of stamps to create this card from Creative Expressions and Katy Sue (Flower Soft) Designs. The background was used using Distress Inks and I had my first go at using Stampendous Frantage Products to create the sheen and sparkle around the fairies.
So until I'm back in the land of technology - carry on crafting!

Well what a weekend! I hope you all enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations despite the weather.
I'm still in red, white and blue crafting mode and although I don't usually go for the cute style of cards, I couldn't resist this Forever Friends stamp from DoCrafts. I used a gatefold card and paper from the Best of British collection. The image I stamped, coloured with Promarkers and cut out to layer onto the card. With the sentiment You are The Best, this card would be perfect for Father's Day too.

Then I stamped and coloured another set of beach huts and decoupaged them. This fits perfectly with the theme at Allsorts this week which is I do like to be beside the seaside.

Join the street party on Pilkington Parade!
Gosh, it seems to have been a long time since I updated my blog, its been so hot here I've been spending time lazying in the garden instead!
So here is a new project...
I have had this Pilkington Parade stamp set from Stamps Away for a while and had never got round to using it. That is until I was looking at old pictures of street parties and thought the stamps would be perfect to create something similar. I stamped the houses and coloured them with Promarkers. I stamped the bunting separately, cut it out and stuck it to the card with 3D foam, then finally printed the sentiment and mounted it onto blue card. I hope you all enjoy the Jubilee celebrations!

Red, White and Blue
Red, white and blue are THE colours of the moment here in the UK. I made this card to celebrate that and also as the challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenge at the moment is Cities of The World. This stamp by Penny Black is my current favourite as London is one of my favourite places too.
I used an accordion fold card as the base for this card and covered it using Papermania Portobello Road papers. From some papers from Crafts Beautiful magazine I cut the bunting. The London stamps were stamped using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and then mounted onto red card. The crown stamp is by Papermania/ Docrafts too.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :

G is for Garden
Oh what a joy technology is! First my internet went down this morning and then I kept getting a virus notice on my blog (as did quite alot of others!) It seems to be if you are using Chrome and not Internet Explorer as a browser. Hey ho!!
I am also busy preparing for my craft stall at The Unique Makers Market at The Spring tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
Anyway back to the reason for this post which is to tell you about The Alphabet Challenge this week which is G - for Garden. I created my card using Creative Expressions Stamp Set Lost Garden and butterflies from a WOW! Embossing Powder Set. I used Distress Inks to create the background and stamp the foliage, using a wet brush to move the colour.
Do come and join us and I look forward to seeing your entries.
Other challenges I am entering :

I do like to be beside the Seaside!
Well as the title of this post suggests I do like to be beside the seaside, but not in Britain at the moment with this continuous rain and cold! So dreaming of warmer days and flicking through the current issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine where there was a similar project I was inspired to make this card.
The card in the magazine used fabric, but I decided to try a similar card with paper. I used a variety of background papers which was great for using up all those scrap! I have never tried doodling or using my own handwriting on a card, but I am quite pleased with the results.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :
Crafters Companion - Summer
Crazy Challenge - Summer / Beach
LEJ Designs - Anything Goes

WOYWW - Not enough room but fabulous backgrounds!
Well there is not much space for a start on my desk at the moment! I haven't entered WOYWW for quite awhile, but after spending so much time at my desk yesterday as the weather is so bad I thought I would show you what I have created. I spent yesterday playing with WOW! Embossing Powders, Cosmic Shimmer Inks and Bead Dazzles to create these pieces you can see here. I also tried embossing some Mulberry paper and spraying with inks which I love.

F for Feathered Friends
This week at the Alphabet Challenge it was my turn to choose the theme which is F for Feathered Friends. For my creation I used a Crafty Individuals stamp which is a favourite of mine and used Distress Inks to give it a shabby appearance. I coloured the die cuts with Distress Ink and used WOW!Embossing Foils and a glue pen to decorate the birdcage. Finally I added the roses and hat pins and a sentiment from Creative Expressions Birds stamp set.
I hope you will join us in this challenge which lasts for the next two weeks.

Fantasy Fairy
Well I'm slowly getting back to normal after the Easter break, although I still have my son at home with chickenpox!!
I wanted to share this card with you today. I loved the recent releases from Katy Sue Designs which features fairy silhouettes. I have to admit I cheated by buying their background papers with the landscapes already created! I then stamped the fairy over the moon, added a sentiment and highlighted areas with glitter.

E for Embroidery
This week at the Alphabet Challenge we are on E for Embroidery. I decided not to submit a card this week for the DT showcase, but a little scene from Rowandean kits which I completed a while ago. I love these scenes and have another one waiting for me to complete!I'm afraid stitching is another one of my addictions!
I do hope you will join us this week at the Alphabet Challenge.

Midnight Garden
I love moon scenes and am so pleased that I had time to finish this for Craft A Scene's Challenge - create a moon scene.
I had trouble sleeping the other night so I got up and created the background for the scene using watercolour card and Distress Inks. I then spritzed over the top with Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a mister bottle. The next day I stamped the flowers from the Creative Expression set Meadow Flora and embossed them using Black Glint WOW! Powder. Then I randomly stamped more flowers with Distress Inks. I highlighted areas using a white pencil and gave a final spritz using Perfect pearls again over the image. The final piece was mounted onto black card.
Your comments are always appreciated and I try to return the favour!

Firstly I would like to wish all mothers a Happy Mother's Day. I think card making must run in the family as my son made a fantastic creation at school.
I've been really busy making samples for WOW! Embossing Powder this week and thought I would share one of my creations.
