Snow and Ice

Unfortunately, or some may say fortunately here in the South of England we have had no snow (sad face) this year.

However to indulge my love of the cold weather I decided to make a card using the
Aurora Wings Digital stamp - the Ice Queen.

I wanted a mixed media type feel so once I had printed it onto card I used spray inks in a shimmering blue. I then coloured the image using Promarkers and added glitter glue to highlight areas. The sequins, beads, shaved ice and glitter I added at the end to give the suggestion of falling ice.

I am quite pleased with the finished result.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes

Dream Factory - The Ice Queen

Thank You

After Christmas making last week, normal(ish) service has resumed! I have been so busy making Teacher thank you cards that the theme at Handmade Harbour this week is very apt! So why not make a card to say thank you to a special person and or Teacher and join in with the challenge.  I think this one will be winging its way to one of my son's teachers very soon!

I chose Wendy's Thank You In Pots Digi stamp to make this card.I used watercolour paints and pencils to add the colour. I think the bunting gives it a country fete type of feel!

Home Sweet Home

I may well be uttering those words this week, as I am writing this before I leave for a break! However, by the time this is published I will be back!

The theme at Handmade Harbour Challenge this week is Home. For my DT card I created this one.

I used the cottage stamp and coloured it with Promarkers. I paper pieced the bunting and curtains and the door actually opens! I added grass to ground the image. It would make a lovely new home card. I do hope you can join us at the challenge this week!
