Spring Flowers

On our dog walk we found these beautiful daffodils growing wild.

So these were perfect inspiration for this card I made for the Craft Stamper Blog Challenge (Spring Flowers)

I created it using a PaperArtsy stamp set, masks and distress inks. First I stamped the the flowers and then masked them before using another mask to apply Distress Ink through. I wanted to keep it quite simple. You probably can't see but the flowers glitter after having Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens added to them.

No Place Like Home

The Sunday Postcard Art Challenge is one I've been meaning to enter for a while now and finally have! The theme this week is No Place like home and must be no bigger than 6 x 4" in size.

I created this first by applying Distress Ink in Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint using Cut N Dry Foam. The PaperArtsy houses were stamped and embossed with WOW Black Glint Powder onto watercoloured card that had been sprayed with Glimmer Mists. The heart was created by using the Direct to Paper technique again using Distress Inks. Finally I added the text using a stamp from WOW Embossing Powder.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges :

Key to Home

I hope those of you who are at home today are enjoying th start of the Easter holidays. Its very cold here in the South but we are still looking forward to our Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday.

I enjoy using tags in my art and found time to make this tag for the Artistic Stamper Challenge.

I used some text printed paper and coloured it with Distress Inks. I printed the word HOME and again aged it with Distress Inks. The stamps are a favourite by Paper Artsy and I stamped these onto text paper and cut them out. To finish I added a key by Tim Holtz tied with twine.

S - soon to be Halloween

Well its not been a good week - hence so quiet on the blog front. I have M.E and overdid it at the weekend so have paid for it this week! Never mind - things seem to be returning to normal today. The arrival of my most amazing DT package from WOW Embossing powders also cheered me up!
The theme for the Alphabet Challenge this week is S - Soon to be Halloween, so this is my DT piece. I didn't have any Halloween stamps (although I have just ordered some!) so I used background paper from Chocolate Baroque (was Elusive Images), bunting image from Tangie Baxter Designs at Scrapbook Graphics and a PaperArtsy gate stamp. I think it looks quite spooky- don't you?

Also hello to my new followers - Buffy and PJamarama. Welcome!

Other challenges I am entering:
Fussy Friday Challenges - Fall or Halloween
Sarah Hurley Challenge - Halloween Horrors
Tando Creative Challenges - Spooktastic Designs
Paper Pretties - Halloween Card
