Which Witch?

Halloween is nearly here, so I just had to make another creepy card!

I made this in a similar way to my last Halloween Card (see previous post) using a Cricut cut image. The background was created using Distress Inks and ink sprays.

I'm hoping to share some photos of our Halloween decorations soon - so watch this space!

Here is a photo of our first pumpkin we carved this week.

Spooky!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Craft Rocket - Spooky
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Orange and Black
Die Cuttin Divas - Picture Inspired
Artistic Inspirations  - Halloween

The Witching Hour

October continues at a pace with exciting projects I am working on and towards the spookiest night of the year - Halloween!

I love Halloween and really enjoy making spooky makes! For this one I created the background myself using Distress Inks and Ink Sprays on watercolour card.  In fact the moon was created by accident when the spray bottle leaked!

The witches themselves are cut using my Cricut Explore machine. I added silver glitter glue stars to finish off.

I hope you have fun celebrating this year too!

Challenges I am entering:

Artistic Inspirations - Anything / Halloween
That Craft Place - Halloween
The Pencil Cases - Halloween
Try It On Tuesday - Halloween

Autumn Leaves

After the beautiful sunshine at the weekend, the weather in the South of England has certainly turned to Autumn.

It was also very sad to hear about the passing of the lovely Sarah at InkyDoodles. She brought the most unique stamps to market and always inspired me. I have used the Autumn Walk set of stamps to create this card.

I stamped and used the masking technique to place the pumpkins in the barrow. The strip I stamped and then cut to size. All the colouring was done with Promarker Pens - Honeycomb, Apply Cider, Tea Green and Ruby.

I also thought I would share a favourite poem of mine - William Blake's  - To Autumn

O Autumn, laden with fruit, and stainèd
With the blood of the grape, pass not, but sit
Beneath my shady roof; there thou may'st rest,
And tune thy jolly voice to my fresh pipe,
And all the daughters of the year shall dance!
Sing now the lusty song of fruits and flowers.
`The narrow bud opens her beauties to
The sun, and love runs in her thrilling veins;
Blossoms hang round the brows of Morning, and
Flourish down the bright cheek of modest Eve,
Till clust'ring Summer breaks forth into singing,
And feather'd clouds strew flowers round her head.

`The spirits of the air live on the smells

Of fruit; and Joy, with pinions light, roves round
The gardens, or sits singing in the trees.'
Thus sang the jolly Autumn as he sat;
Then rose, girded himself, and o'er the bleak
Hills fled from our sight; but left his golden load.
