I have been uploading all my handmade cards into Flickr. Its a great way to store and share your images. I make cards to sell and this is an excellent way of showcasing my work. Hope you like them.

Tuesday Taggers Birthday

As it is Tuesday Taggers first birthday, they have asked all followers to make a tag based on their favourite cake chocolate and cream. They also supplied a free image to use. Then each tag made will be swapped by snail mail.

Theme Thursday ATC

Slightly late, but here is my entry for Theme Thursday, which for the past week was Butterflies.I stamped the background with leaf stamps and brushed over them with gold rub on. I then stamped the butterflies and embossed them in gold and then coloured them in using gel pens.

Playing Around!

I thought I would try out some new techniques with the new Inkadinkadoo stamps I bought. I coloured the card with distress inks, stamped the text stamp from Crafty Individuals, then the dragonfly from the Inkadinkadoo collection. The wings of the dragonfly were coloured with Perfect Pearls.

Thursday challenge - Black and White

This is my entry for the Thursday Challenge, whose theme this week is black and white. It is a step card Ive made for my Sister In Law's birthday.

Tuesday Taggers Entry

I thought this layout would be perfect for the Tuesday Taggers competition this week. The theme is memories and this layout tells the story of my grandparents who were separated during the war when my Grandad was sent to Egypt. The beads around the wedding photo were sewn on by hand and the poem was from a card that he sent made of papyrus paper to my grandma from Egypt.

The poem reads :

For You Alone

However busy I maybe

Whenever we're apart

There's still a shrine of memory

Deep down within my heart

Where I preserve your image dear

Forever to Remain

And thoughts of you bring constant cheer until we meet again

Ocean Dreams ATC

The theme for Joanna Sheen's swap this month is Ocean Dream.

I thought it would be apt to evoke the era of the Ocean Cruise Liners in an ATC.

I made an ATC folded card, then covered the inside with papers. The outside was coloured using distress ink. I used various images in a collage style inside and out. The postmarks and bon voyage wording were stamped over the top in distress ink. I then closed the ATC using eyelets and tied string.

Been a bit poorly

Unfortunately I spent the whole of last weekend in hospital with a kidney infection so haven't managed to get any crafting done at all. Im slowly getting back on my feet and hope to share some new ideas soon. Ive had plenty of time in bed to think of some!
