Well the Easter holiday is here at last and what wonderful weather we have in the UK. I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Easter break. Over at Bella Creations the April Oh La La challenge was to decorate this image of a lady in her easter bonnet. I used My Craft Studio package to create the image and used moudable flowers and pearls to decorate.

Grungy Monday Entry

The theme at Grungy Monday this week is texture fade with distress. Here is my entry. I used the patchwork texture fade by Tim Holtz and the Sizzix Birdcage die. I created the rusted effect on the grungepaper key using Vintage Photo Distress Powder.

Textile Fiesta!

On the spare of the moment I decided to visit the Brockenhurst Textile Fiesta. I came home with lots of goodies which I can't wait to start crafting with.

There were some great suppliers there: Ario, Mulberry Silks, Simply Sequins and more. So it was an expensive trip!

Crafty Individuals - Squares Challenge

Crafty Individuals are currently holding their first blog challenge, which is squares. For my entry I distressed some Crafty Individuals backing paper by painting it with a thin coat of white acrylic paint to fade it. I then stamped and cut out the vintage ladies images (CI-065) and coloured them with pastel Promarkers. I embossed the edges of the squares with silver embossing powder. Finally I added a small silver heart on a ribbon to decorate.

Other challenges I am entering:

Bookmark Swap

This is a simple bookmark I made for the UK Stampers Swap. I covered mountboard with versamark inks and then overstamped the foliage in clear embossing ink and embossed with white powder. I added some glitter glue to highlight.

Grungy Monday Entry

The first challenge at Grungy Monday is to used Tim Holtz's Tag 2008 12 Tags of Christmas, Tag 10, as inspiration. This was a tricky one for me as I like to freestyle rather than follow step by step instructions so I hope I on the right track with this tag.

I didn't have all the Tim Holtz elements so had to improvise! I used the TH flourish mask and various distress inks to create the background. I used a fairy stamp and a TH crown stamp embossed and coloured with Perfect Pearls. I used a pressed stud as did Tim for the flower fixing. The FLY letters were taken from one the Seasonal Stack.
