Fibres and Clay

Firstly a big thank you to all my followers - I now have 30! Im hoping to run a little competition giveaway at the weekend to celebrate - so keep watching!

I have really been enjoying using the new moulds from Crafty Notions and Angelina Fibres. Here is the first card I made.

Alphabet Challenge - L for Ladies

This card is for the Alphabet Challenge, which this week is L for Ladies. This is my all time favourite stamp which I have had for many years. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and highlighted with gold gel pen. I made the embellishment from lace, a button and ribbon.

Textile Heart Experiment

When I went into my local town this week I was so excited to find a new textile supplies shop - with lovely bags of lace, fibres, material etc. So I decided to try out my needle! I cut a felt heart for the base and then spent a lovely evening sewing on all different types of ribbon onto it. Once finished I trimmed the excess and added some sequins. I am now going to turn it into a card and make some more!

Three ATCs

I made these three ATCs for the UK Stampers swap, which can be any theme this month

The first one is using a combination of an Anna Griffin butterfly stamp, Crafty Individuals text stamp and a dragon fly.

The second I made whilst trying out my new Inkdusters, Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Black embossing powder and I think the stamps are by Debbie Moore.

The third I used Distress Inks, splattered with water on watercoloured card. I stamped the birdcage image onto acetate and attached to the card. The flower I distressed with a silver ink pad, added ribbon and some fantasy film.

Love is all around

I thought I would dip my toe in the water over at Etsy today. I have now set up my shop and have started to populate it. Tomorrow it will be featured in the showcase. I already have been added to people's favourite list so not bad going for a few hours work!

This is my latest addition to the shop which is perfect for Valentine's Day, Weddings, or just to say I Love You!

A Christmas Tag - Bah Humbug Challenge

The challenge this week at Bah Humbug is to make something with the theme of Holly and / or fairies. I have been struggling this week with a cold virus so this was a nice quick project.

I distressed the tag using distress inks and then stamped one of Sheena Douglass' holly stamps on to it and coloured with promarkers. The Flower Fairy image was a freebie from a magazine I had and I painted a chipboard holly piece as an embellishment. I finished the tag with Stickles glitter glue.

Another Christmas Card Challenge!

Its never to early to start getting ready for Christmas! Crafty Hazlenut has started a new weekly challenge. This is my entry. I was lucky enough to have The Craft Stamper as a subscription for Christmas and this is one of the stamps that Crafty Individuals supplied to new subscribers. I thought it made a change from the usual red and green. I stamped and embossed the image and then used distress ink to colour the background. I added the sentiment and the jewels to decorate.

Christmas Leftovers

The challenge at Tag Tuesday this week was to make a tag using leftover materials from Christmas. I made this tag using wrapping paper for the background material, a picture left over from my Crafty Individuals stash, I made the ribbon rosettes from leftover wrapping ribbon. The tied raffia is from my Mum's christmas wrapping. To finish I scratched over the paper to give it an aged feel and then embossed snowflakes onto the piece.

I have chosen this card as my best of the Year this time. I used the Creative Expressions stamp set for this card, cosmic shimmers and distress inks.

Happy New Year to you all! I can't wait to start on my new craft projects. I was lucky enough to get the Digital Scrapbook Artist Program for Christmas, so I've found a new addiction! I hope to share some of my layouts with you soon.

I also collect old postcards and I found this one in my collection which is now 100 years old! I hope you like it as much as I do.
