Love and Ribbons

Its been a long week this week with my little one being home from school with some horrible virus and my Dad still hobbling about on crutches so I haven't had much time for crafting!

I just had time to make this simple card. After purchasing the recent issue of Crafts Beautiful Magazine I was inspired to make this card by one of the articles in it. I used a 6 x 6 inch card blank and layered lace, ribbon and buttons. I finished the card with three wooden hearts.

Wired Heart Card

Its that time of year for hearts and flowers! This card I have made for a couple of years and is proving to be one of my best sellers in my online craft stores. So I thought I'd finally get round to sharing it with you!

I cut the heart with my Sizzix machine and then wrapped it with wire threaded with beads. The background is cut with decorative scissors and inked with Distress Ink. Finally I used alphabet rubons for the greeting.

A Birthday in a Teacup

Well what a weekend we had at the Sparkly Fairy quarters! My Dad fell and broke is leg in the snow and still remains in hospital! Life is interesting! It's actually his birthday today so we are hoping to have him home today, but it will be a long 12 weeks in plaster!!

Anyway.....I thought I would share this little card with you, although having little time for making much at the moment. I made this card using Docrafts Papermania stamps to stamp and decoupage the teacups. I stamped the bunting and the greeting and coloured all with AquaMarkers to get a watercolour look.

A Happy New Year

Well a bit of a belated Happy New Year to all my readers. Where does the time go? What with being back in the routine of school runs and pack lunches the first weeks of the Year have flown by!

At the moment I am working on some Valentine's cards. I thought I would share this one with you as its my favourite new card! I used the free stamp from Cards and Papercrafts Magazine for the sentiment and added the heart and button embellishment. I have sold one already!

Well the planning is done, the presents are on their way to Santa, so I think Christmas must be nearly here! I just would like to wish everyone and especially my loyal blog followers a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Its  been a busy week with school nativity plays. Today it is pouring here, so a perfect day for crafting and wrapping presents!

After being so busy making cards for sale, I have finally managed to make my own cards for family! This is a card I made for my parents using La Pashe stamps. I was lucky to get the set half price! 

I stamped the background onto a piece of card and coloured it with Promarkers. Then I stamped the couple and holly separately, coloured them and then used foam pads to raise them on the card. I used My Craft Studio Frost Glitter to finish.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out and fortunately so were my parents!

Traditional Christmas Colours

The days seem to be flying by ever nearer to the big day. Its a busy time of year with nativity plays and carol concerts and the looming pile of presents to wrap!

I also had my 5 minutes of fame in January's Cross Stitch Crazy magazine this week! I was asked to be a member of January's reader panel which was fun.

Today I thought I would share a Christmas card with you, using more traditional colours. I made this card using a stamp from one of my favourite companies, Little Claire. I was really lucky to be the winner of their November challenge with my baby card. For this card, I stamped and coloured the image with Promarkers and then added the holly, ribbon and twine embellishment.

Festive Sparkle

Its certainly a lot chillier in the south today - but at least its dry! I hope the rain has subsided for you too!

This month's challenge at Crafty Individuals is Festive Sparkle so I created this card with this in mind. I used the deer stamp on acetate and embossed it with White Twinkle WOW Embossing Powder. I created the background card using Cosmic Shimmer Sprays and then stamped snowflakes and embossed them with WOW White Puff Twinkle. The card was then finished off with ribbon and a wooden snowflake.

Happy ThanksGiving and a Simple Card

Firstly I would like to say a Happy Thanksgiving to all my followers in the US who will be celebrating today. I do hope you have a great time with your family.

Here in the UK we are slowly gearing up for the festive season and I'm snowed under with card orders! I treated myself to an early Christmas present this week - a mini Cricut - so I can't wait for it to arrive!

I couldn't sleep last night so used a set of Personal Impressions stamps which I bought in the sale last Christmas to make this simple card. I am really pleased with the result.

Studio 12 Christmas Card Make

So are we all crafting for Christmas?!  I seem to have been for a very long time!

This is one of my new cards I've made  for my forthcoming craft fairs for Christmas. I love the images that Studio 12 put in their CD collections. This is a card I have made. I created the scene using the backing papers and images. I decoupaged the house and added glitter accents to the house and trees. The final decoration was the heart with the bakers twine.
