Midnight Garden

I love moon scenes and am so pleased that I had time to finish this for Craft A Scene's Challenge - create a moon scene.

I had trouble sleeping the other night so I got up and created the background for the scene using watercolour card and Distress Inks. I then spritzed over the top with Perfect Pearls mixed with water in a mister bottle. The next day I stamped the flowers from the Creative Expression set Meadow Flora and embossed them using Black Glint WOW! Powder. Then I randomly stamped more flowers with Distress Inks. I highlighted areas using a white pencil and gave a final spritz using Perfect pearls again over the image. The final piece was mounted onto black card.

Your comments are always appreciated and I try to return the favour!

Easter is fast approaching and I have been asked by some of my customers for a religious Easter card. This is what I came up with. I used a digi stamp from Just Inklinked and coloured with Promarkers. I then die cut the image with Spellbinders die and inked around the edges with Distress Ink. The greeting is stamped in gold ink and a small amount of glitter added to the flowers. This card is available to purchase.

I am also entering it into the following challenges :

Black and White Embossing

Firstly I would like to wish all mothers a Happy Mother's Day. I think card making must run in the family as my son made a fantastic creation at school.

I've been really busy making samples for WOW! Embossing Powder this week and thought I would share one of my creations.

This was made with the fantastic new stamp set from WOW!. I stamped the dandelion heads in Versamark ink and embossed with Seafoam white powder. The butterflies I embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the text in black ink and mounted it on black and mirri card.

Do visit the WOW! blog to see more creations from the talented design team.

Other challenges I am entering :
Craft Lounge - Flower Stamps
Party Time Tuesday - Monochrome

What a week!

Well what a week its been. Sadly my Grandma passed away at aged 89 which was very sad even though we had been expecting it. The to top it off every member in the house succumbed to the bug that seems to be doing the rounds, sickness, sore throat and temperature. So my little one was off school for two days.  Plus the fact I have enjoyed receiving many ETSY and FOLKSY orders for Mother's Day cards.Which all it explains why my my blogging has been non existent!

Unfortunately I couldn't get my DT sample made for The Alphabet Challenge this week, but do go over and join in. This week is C for Celebrate St Patricks Day or Good Luck.

I made this card below a while ago so thought I would share it this week and it is kind of a reminder that Mothers and Grandmothers are precious.

I used a Crafty Individuals image layered onto a card decorated with real lace and mother of pearl buttons.

Challenges I am entering with this card are :
Scrapbook Sisters - Mother's Day
Craft Room Challenge - Shabby / Vintage
Lexi's Creations - Mother's Day
Dream Valley Challenges - Mother's Day
